Great Divide Property Inspections
Thermal imaging or thermography extends the inspectors ability to inspect the house. It helps to identify conditions or anomalies which may have gone undetected and acts as an additional method of verification. What is thermal imaging? Thermal Imaging uses an infrared camera to measure heat emitted by materials. The difference in heat or delta T is captured by the camera.
Thermal imaging is not x-ray vision. It does not see through objects but rather shows the heat given off by an object. It can not identify every hidden condition and its effectiveness can be dictated by the environment.
Water intrusion, plumbing leaks, heat loss, loose or ineffective insulation, electrical conditions, such as loose connections or over heated breakers and radiant tubing.
